Aerodynamic Analysis of a Low-Speed Tandem-Channel Wing for eVTOL Aircraft Considering Propeller–Wing Interaction

چکیده
Fixed-wing aircraft with vertical takeoff and landing capabilities need a lower speed higher lift during transition. To meet these needs, tandem-channel wing layout has been developed, including FLR (front than rear wing) configuration FUR upper configuration, which differ in height differences between the front wings. Numerical simulations have performed to investigate aerodynamic characteristics of two configurations. The results show that significant increase coefficient occurs when propeller rotational angle attack increase. at small increases by more 50% high speed, stall 10 degrees. For downwash effect impacts wing, decreasing local delaying airflow separation on top surface. up surface is induced wake flow but makes static instability.

Aerodynamic Design Optimization Studies of a Blended-Wing-Body Aircraft
Abstract The blended-wing body is an aircraft configuration that has the potential to be more efficient than conventional large transport aircraft configurations with the same capability. However, the design of the blended-wing is challenging due to the tight coupling between aerodynamic performance, trim, and stability. Other design challenges include the nature and number of the design variab...
متن کاملModeling, simulation and analysis of a multi degree of freedom aircraft wing model
This paper presented methods to determine the aerodynamic forces that acton an aircraft wing during flight. These methods are initially proposed for asimplified two degree-of-freedoms airfoil model and then are extensivelyapplied for a multi-degree-of-freedom airfoil system. Different airspeedconditions are considered in establishing such methods. The accuracy of thepresented methods is verifie...
متن کاملAnalysis of Fluid-Structure Interaction on an Aircraft Wing
Fluid–structure interaction problems in general are often too complex to solve analytically and so they have to be analyzed by means of experiments or numerical simulation. Studying these phenomena requires modeling of both fluid and structure. Many approaches in computational aero elasticity seek to synthesize independent computational approaches for the aerodynamic and the structural dynamic ...
متن کاملA Practical Method for Investigation of Aerodynamic and Longitudinal Static Stability of Wing-in-Ground Effect
The purpose of this paper is to present a fast, economical and practical method for mathematical modeling of aerodynamic characteristics of rectangular wing-in-ground effect (WIG). Reynolds averaged Navier-Stokes (RANS) equations were converted to Bernoulli equation by reasonable assumptions. Also Helmbold's equation was developed for calculation of the slope of wing lift coefficient in ground ...

The SUGAR Truss-Braced Wing (TBW) aircraft concept is a Boeing-developed N+3 aircraft configuration funded by NASA ARMD Fixed Wing Project. This future generation transport aircraft concept is designed to be aerodynamically efficient by employing a high aspect ratio wing design. The aspect ratio of the TBW is on the order of 14 which is significantly greater than those of current generation tra...
